Birthday Boys

Payton had his first friend sleepover party this year against my wishes.  I voted to have a "late over" where the kids leave around 10:00 at night but Graham thought the full sleep over would be fun. Ha!  The kids did have a great time. Payton invited Emmett, Aidan, Tyler S., Tyler G., Chase, and Danny.  The boys made Chicago Bears bird feeders with my Dad and Graham and then we decorated boxes to make them into cars.  We took the cars upstairs and had a "drive in" movie. I taped shoe boxes to the outside of their cars for their food and drink tray.  I couldn't believe how much they got into decorating their cars and they watched the whole movie in their boxes. LOL!  It was so cute.  The sleepover went well until it was time for bed. I gave up and made Graham sleep downstairs. I think they fell asleep around midnight and up around 6:00 am.  Overall it was a success but we won't be doing that again for a  LONG time.

We had a family party for both boys in March. Brady had an owl theme and Payton wanted a football party, no surprise there.

Christmas 2012

Thanks to big brother Payton, Brady loved Santa! I love the first picture of the boys showing Santa their lists.  We love seeing Santa in Downtown Naperville in his little house. It's free and they do such a nice job of setting it all up!

Christmas Eve was spent at my parent's house with the whole family. Nana always goes above and beyond and the kids have such a great time opening and playing with all of their new gifts.  Papa put up the train and the boys loved watching him run them around their track.

Fall 2012

In September we went on our annual apple picking excursion to Honey Hill Orchard in Waterman, Illinois.  Brady loved it this year because he could actually eat the apples that he picked.  We came at the end of raspberry picking this year so the boys got to pick a few and eat a lot:)

In October we went out to Iowa for Graham's cousin's wedding. Brady loved dancing that night and Payton thought it was pretty cool that he got to try to catch the garter.  Graham's parents came in from Florida for the wedding so we got an extra visit in with them.

Halloween was super fun this year. Brady was old enough to enjoy all of the fun festivities and Payton helped him with it all.  Payton was a clown this year, which matches his personality perfectly. Brady wore Payton's old Elmo costume and loved it!
