Stopping a goal

Today was Payton's first soccer game. He didn't make it there until halftime due to the sibling class but he had a great time anyways. He got to play goalie and did an awesome job! He stopped all but one goal and was so proud of himself. Unfortunately his team did not make any goals but only the parents knew that:) They had a snack afterwards and we are all looking forward to his next game next weekend.

Today Payton went to a sibling class at the hospital to learn how to help take care of the new baby. The class was cute and he enjoyed it. The nurse taught him how to hold the baby, touch the baby, diaper the baby and how to decide which toys the baby can play with. He got a great coloring book and a certificate when he was done. I think he is going to be a wonderful big brother!

This year we were unable to make the trip to Florida over our Christmas break so we were home for New Years Eve. We spent the evening across the street at the Geer's house along with the Rosenberg's and all the kids. We let the kids play a while, put on a movie downstairs and thought they would all fall asleep but little did we know that was not their plan! They all made it up to ring in the new year with us at midnight. I am sure you can imagine Payton's mood the next day but boy did they have a good time toasting with their sparkling juice and noise makers. The adults had a good time too playing games and hanging out.
