Well, Payton's first birthday party was this weekend and it was an experience we will never forget!! Note to self...have a summer baby next time so that the party can be outdoors:) Payton was getting over a cold and little did we know, was also having an allergic reaction to a medication he was on. The morning after his party he woke up covered in hives from head to toes!! Poor guy was not feeling well at his party which made for a very crabby baby:( Oh well, I had fun regardless. My First Haircut

Today Payton had his first haircut! We went to Cookie Cutters in Naperville and his stylist was Toni. He was not happy getting his hair cut but enjoyed going down the slide afterwards. Payton got a certificate that included his picture and a lock of hair:) We went to Panera for dinner to celebrate how well he did!

We celebrated Payton's birthday a few weeks early with some high school friends and their families. Payton had a blast! It took him a few minutes to figure out what to do with the cake but after that he couldn't get enough. I guess he loves chocolate as much as his mom:) I can't wait to see what he does at his first birthday party!
