All ready for school
Today was Payton's first day of preschool and I am pretty sure he couldn't have been any more excited! For those of you who have witnessed Payton while watching the Bernstein Bears would know that he sits and drools at the TV for the entire 26 minutes and cries hysterically if it is turned off before its over. This morning he was watching his favorite show and I mentioned that as soon as it was over we had to leave to go to school. Anyways, about 15 minutes into the show I came in and put his shoes on and he told me it wasn't time to go yet because the show was not over. I told him that I was just getting him ready so that as soon as it was over we could leave and not be late. Anyways, I turned around and walked back into the kitchen and just as soon as I turned around he had gotten up, turned off the TV in the middle of his favorite show, threw Ducky on the table and announced that he was ready to go. Now if that does not show excitement I don't know what would:)

We got to the school a few minutes early so he could go in and meet his teachers. We missed out on the open house since it was during the school day but it sure didn't bother Payton. After we met the teachers we went back outside to wait for his friend Gracie. He was so excited to see her and it always helps to have a friend to do new things with, even though she isn't in his classroom. I showed him where his class was lining up and he jumped right in line with barely a hug. I was so proud of him while I watched him listen to his teacher, sit in line and finally walk in the line into the school. He looked like such a big boy!!! Graham had enough time in between schools to come with me to pick him up. Payton was so excited to see his Daddy there and ran right to him. I only took the morning off so I dropped him off at Donna's and went back to work.
Tonight we took him to All Aboard Diner for a special "first day of preschool" dinner;) All in all it was a great day and he loved school. Throughout the evening I got little bits and pieces of the day and it sounds like it was a ton of fun.
