Old MacDonald is one of Payton's favorite songs and he got to experience the farm first had this past weekend. We made our annual trip to Dubuque, Iowa for Graham's family's Thanksgiving. We go out to his Aunt and Uncle's Dairy farm for the occasion and always have a blast. It is so nice to get out of the traffic and craziness and spend a few hours away from it all. The scenery is great too, lots of land, cows, horses and trees. You can't beat that:) Payton loved looking out the kitchen window at the "moos" as he calls them!
We usually do the trip in one day, leaving at around 7 am and getting home at 8pm. however this year we had an unexpected delay. Apparently, Payton has motion sickness. I now know not to show a video while driving on 20, which is a road that is VERY hilly and curvy. The two of those things mixed with the video totally did Payton in. As soon as we hit Galena he threw up everywhere. While we tried to pack "light" we had very little wipes and NO towels so clean up was rather humorous (now but not then)! Thanks to Graham's Aunt Twila for helping to do the laundry and wash the car seat while I gave Payton a bath. Yuck!! We learned and on the way home we waited to turn on the DVD player until after we were well out of Galena and off the hilly part of the road:)
On a separate note...we are hopefully spending our birthday money on a new camera. I am hoping to get something similar, if not the same one, as Becky's camera. If you have ever looked at her blog, her pictures are amazing! I am hoping that between Becky and my sister, I can get some good photography tips and have some much better pictures. Yeah!

First of all, I love the new look of the page.
And secondly how awful for Payton with the hills and the motion sickness - and for you guys!! I am envisioning you trying to help from the front seat! Poor guy!
And by the way, I think you take excellent pictures! :)
We had a great time with you guys! I'm looking forward to margaritas tomorrow!
I hope Payton is feeling better! he sure looks like he had fun after all!:) Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Poor Payton with the motion sickness! Trust me, I feel his pain! Good luck with the camera choice, I can't wait to find out what you get. :) Happy Thanksgiving!
