We went to my sister's house in Oak Park to trick-or-treat this year because Graham had class at a Frank Loyd Wright house that was in Oak Park. We had a great time! Jolie and Payton were on such a sugar high that they barely ate any dinner and were running around wild all night;) Payton was unsure of the whole trick-or-treating thing but with a bit of coaxing, he went up to a few houses and said "please" instead of "trick-or-treat". It was soooo cute! He did, however, get freaked out by a couple of adults who had on scary masks while they were handing out candy. He wouldn't even dare go up to their houses!!

Payton sure got good use out of his costume at all of his Halloween events. Love the pictures - he is so adorable.
That's okay - apparently when I was his age, my dad painted my face like a clown (I was a clown for my costume and by the way I HATE clowns) but when they should me in the mirror I burst out crying... at myself! And then when they finally took me out, the neighbors acted really surprised and excited to see me, and I burst out crying.
So I think Payton is way brave! I take it he still didn't wear the Elmo hood!
Too cute though!
