We had a very busy weekend starting with our annual shopping extravaganza on "black Friday"!! Graham got up and left the house at about 4:50am to go to Toys R Us. There was a basketball hoop we really wanted to get for Payton that was on sale and thank God he went then because we went back to Toys R Us around 7:30 am and they were totally out!! When he got home around 7ish we dropped Payton off at my parents house and spent the morning shopping. We have had this tradition for a long time and we both just enjoy the people watching and the occasional shopping too:) We had lunch that day with our friends Kerri, Jamie, Austin, Mike & Laurie since Mike and Laurie were in town from NY. We had a low key evening on Friday just hanging around and going to bed early.

Saturday we put up the Christmas tree. Payton just loved it when we turned on the lights. He wanted to keep turning them on and off which got old real quick:) Saturday night we dropped Payton off at Nana and Papa's house for sleep over with his cousins Jolie and Emmett. My parents were brave to have all three sleep over but they made it through, still smiling! Graham and I have another tradition of going to a play and dinner in the city, just the two of us. This year we went to a Vegan restaurant and to the Steppenwolf Theater to see The Nutcracker play, not ballet. It was very good and is highly recommended.

On Sunday I spent the day with my mom and sister, along with the kids for part of the time. Graham had some papers to write so I tried to stay out of the house for most of the day. We went to a craft fair at Marmion but didn't find much. Tonight we put up the ornaments on the tree. It took Payton a few times to realize that we had to keep the ornaments on the tree and not take them off. He kept pulling them all off as soon as we'd put them on!! He was so cute when he realized what he was suppose to do and was so proud of himself when he got an ornament to stay on the tree:) Hope you all had a great weekend!
