Spring Break!

I can't believe it is finally here! We started out our spring break by going over to Alyssa and Andy's house for a belated Easter dinner. We had a great time hanging out with them and seeing Emma again. She is sooo cute:) On Saturday Payton and I went to the city to visit my friend Jen. We took Payton to the Lincoln Park Zoo, which I have never been to. Payton loved looking at the tiger and rhino but wasn't too sure about any of the other animals, especially the big monkeys.

I had a feeling on Saturday morning that Payton was coming down with something because he slept in til 8:30, which is VERY unusual. Anyways, he slept every chance he could get to and from Chicago and even wanted to take his nap at Jen's instead of eating lunch. When we got home, he had a fever of about 101.5 and was obviously a bit dehydrated so he kept wanting to drink his milk. He did throw up that night but I think it was from drinking all that milk because he hasn't thrown up again. This morning he woke up with a 103 fever but shortly after having Motrin, he was his old self again. I am bummed because we were suppose to go to my parent's house today for dinner and we had a few play dates planned for tomorrow so hopefully he starts feeling better soon. Not a way to start his week off:(

I am pretty sure this is not the stomach flu but just a virus with a high fever. I had a lot of kids out last week with the same thing so that's probably how he got it.
