Jen & Emily reading to Payton
Payton and the ladies
Graham decided to go camping with some friends this weekend so I took advantage of the situation and made tons of plans with friends that I don't get to see much. Here is a snapshot of what we did.
On Saturday (Valentine's Day), we went to lunch with Melissa, Joey, Mikey, Becky, Mia and Cole to All Aboard Diner. The kids had a blast watching the train bring them their lunch! We went to the McDonald's down the street to play at the play place and let the kids run around and give us some time to chat. That night Payton and I went to my parents to have Valentine's Day dinner with them.
On Sunday, we went bowling with my play group, which was hysterical! Payton had never gone bowling and he was so excited. They have a ramp that the kids put the ball on and push it down the lane. They all did pretty well with waiting their turn and eating lots of junk food! Payton got a strike and ended up winning. When I told him he won, he said "all of my friends won Mommy". I don't think he gets it just yet or maybe he just didn't inherit my competitive side:)
After bowling, we came home and my friends Jen and Emily came over to spend the day with Payton and me. They brought lunch over and got to play with Payton before his nap. During his nap (which was 3hrs) we got time to catch up! I am so lucky to have such great friends that are interested in being a part of Payton's life! Later that night my parents stopped over to bring me a movie to watch and they ended up staying for a little bit and playing stickers with Payton.
On Monday we ran a bunch of errands in the morning and took a nice long walk in the afternoon in hopes of wearing out both Payton and Sami! Payton took great naps for me this weekend but was a huge stinker when it came to bed time. He tried every trick in the book to try and stay awake but my favorite was when he realized that if he said he had to go potty that I would come in:) OK, so how can you not go in when you are encouraging him to let you know when he has to go potty after he is in bed?
We had such a great weekend but we both missed Graham terribly! On Saturday night Payton was just about in tears trying to find Daddy to give him a big hug and kiss goodnight. It was so cute! Thanks to everyone who took time out to hang out with us this weekend.

My goodness, what a weekend! I was worn out just reading about it. I don't know how he does it, but that darn kid gets cuter by the minute. Can't wait to get my hands on him this weekend! Love, Gaia
