Last weekend we went camping with my sister and her family to Warren Dunes in Michigan. The weather was suppose to be 80 but scattered rain for all of the three days we were there but we got somewhat lucky. On Wednesday we left around noon and when we got there it was 59 and cloudy! What? Not sure what happened but it went from 72 to 59 when we crossed the border into Michigan! At least it didn't rain! When we woke up on Thursday it was raining but it stopped around 9am and it was super hot and sunny. We spent the morning at the dunes, playing in the sand and water. The kids had fun making smores that night and the extra sugar made bedtime challenging:) We had heard that some strong storms were coming our way but were told they wouldn't be in our area til early Friday morning around 5am. Unfortunately for us, they arrived around 3am and woke Payton and I up! These storms came in waves for the next 4hrs and were seriously on top of us the entire time. I will admit I was a bit freaked out and was so worried about the camper leaking with all the rain. The campground host told us the next morning that we got 2in of rain that night!! Some camp sites were completely flooded. Luckily, the camper did not leak but I can't say that about my sister's tent:) Jen and I text messaged for pretty much the entire 3 hrs since she was the only one awake in her tent and P and I were awake also. It definitely made the time go by faster. We had a great time regardless of the crazy storms and I give my sister credit for camping while 8mos pregnant!
