We didn't get to do as much camping this summer as we'd have liked to do but we did manage to squeeze in a few trips. One we took to the Quad Cities and camped at a decent KOA there. We crossed into Iowa for a hiking trip in Wild Cat Den State Park and saw some cool rock formations. Payton enjoyed the hike and playing in the stream. The KOA had a nice pool to play in and Payton even met a friend, Katie.
Our second trip was to Turkey Run State Park in Indiana. I highly recommend this park, it was very nice. The campsite was huge and totally shaded. Just down the street from the campground was the state park which had great hiking trails with all kinds of streams, rock formations, caves and ladders. They even had a pool at the state park with a diving board, which Payton just loved.

We plan to go on at least one more this fall, hopefully!
