Road Trip - Part 2

We left Myrtle Beach on Wednesday, July 28th and headed towards Branson, Missouri. On the way we stopped in Atlanta and Memphis and then met up with Graham's parents in Arkansas. We left Arkansas on Saturday morning and made the rest of the trip to Branson.

When we got to the 3 bedroom condo we rented for the week, the air conditioner was broken:( The funny thing is that we had trouble with air on our vacations past but this time it was super hot, 95 degrees in the joint. After battling with the manager, he finally told us to just go home. Ha, nice answer huh? Luckily we were able to find a 2 bedroom condo across the street along with a regular hotel room to accommodate us all. The place was nice and ended up working out tons better for us, who knew? This new place had a boat slip for the boat so we could go and come as we pleased and it had a few pools for the kids. Alyssa's family and us stayed in the 2 bedroom condo while his parents stayed in the hotel room in the building next door. Oh, and just to go along with our air troubles, the air in the condo shorted on us a couple of times, usually at night, however this place actually accommodated us with fans and apologized for the inconvenience. We definitely appreciated that!

We spent most of our days on the boat, swimming in the lake and hanging out at the pool. Again, we did breakfast and lunch in the condo and usually went out for dinner. Unfortunately, we had to leave a day and a half early due to a doctor's appointment for me but we had a great time. Payton was a trooper through these three weeks and for the most part we all stayed healthy. That in itself was an accomplishment. Thanks to Graham's parents for a great vacation.
