We continued our tradition of going to the Ribfest in the evening of the 4th. We usually try 2 different rib places and share, as well as an elephant ear for desert! This year we unfortunately had to forgo the elephant ear due to the ridiculously long line:( Payton kept telling me how scared he was of the fireworks, even though in the previous years he has always loved them. So, when it was time for the fireworks to start he started crying and wanting to go home. Once the first one went off, he quickly changed his mind and remembered how much he loved them and kept saying, "awesome" over and over again. Ha, I told him to remember next year how much he loves the fireworks so we didn't have to go through this again.
